Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

In short: you can browse without giving us anything. If you create an account, buy something, or send an enquiry, we store the details needed to run that. We don't sell your information. Business learners should read section 5.

1. Who we are

OEEGURU.COM ("OEEGURU Academy", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and the courses, lessons and certifications described on it. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. Contact us at privacy@oeeguru.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details: your email address and password (stored securely by our account provider; we cannot see your password), your name, and optionally your phone number, date of birth and job title.
  • Learning activity: lessons and courses you own or save, your progress, quiz attempts and results, and certificates you earn.
  • Purchases: which items you bought, the amount paid, any promo code used, and the date. Payment itself is handled by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal. We do not receive or store your card details or PayPal login.
  • Enquiries: your name, email, employer (optional), the course or topic you asked about, and your message, when you use the contact form.
  • Business accounts: if you are invited to a private training area, your email address, the organisation you joined, and your role in it.
  • Technical and analytics data: see section 4.

3. How we use it

  • To create and run your account, unlock what you buy, and track your progress and certificates.
  • To send emails you need: purchase confirmations, password resets and business invites.
  • To reply to enquiries and give support.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse, such as quiz cheating and shared logins.
  • To understand which lessons and pages are useful, so we can improve them (analytics, only with your consent).

We rely on the contract between us (to provide what you signed up for), our legitimate interests (running and securing the service), legal obligations, and your consent (analytics cookies).

4. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to see which lessons, courses and pages are useful. A banner asks for your consent before anything loads. If you click "Decline," or simply close the banner, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. If you click "Accept," Google Analytics sets a cookie to recognise repeat visits, and IP addresses are anonymised before Google stores them. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's local storage in your browser, which will show the banner again. Separately, we use your browser's storage to keep you signed in, which is needed for the account to work. We don't use analytics to identify you personally.

5. Business and team training

If you join an organisation's private training area, the organisation's owners and managers (and OEEGURU Academy administrators who support them) can see your name and email, that you accepted the invite, and your progress, quiz results and certificates for that organisation's content. They do not manage your personal account or purchases. The organisation decides who is invited and is responsible for how it uses what it sees, so please ask your employer if you have questions about their use.

6. Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We use a small number of providers to run the service, who act on our behalf:

  • Supabase: database, accounts and login
  • Stripe and PayPal: taking payments
  • Resend: sending our emails
  • Netlify: hosting the website
  • Google Analytics: analytics, if you accept cookies

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards that apply to the transfer, such as approved standard contractual clauses. We may also share information where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning records while your account is open, so your purchases and certificates stay available to you. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the bottom of your Profile page; we then delete or anonymise your personal information, except what we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons, such as payment records, and the records a company keeps about its own staff (for example, which policies an employee confirmed they had read). Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies to you), you generally have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete (you can edit most details yourself on your Profile page)
  • Ask us to delete your information, where there is no legal reason for us to keep it
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, email privacy@oeeguru.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults exploring career, engineering and quality-management education, and is not directed at children. You must be 16 or over to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

10. Social media links

The footer links to social platforms, which have their own privacy policies that we do not control.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page whenever what the site does with your information changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.
