Terms of Service

Please read before using this site: by browsing OEEGURU.COM, creating an account, buying a lesson or course, or using a business training area, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

OEEGURU.COM ("OEEGURU Academy", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and the courses, lessons, practice tools, certifications and business training areas described on it. These terms govern your use of the site and of anything you buy or are given access to through it.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to buy content, track progress, save items and earn certificates. Browsing the site and using the Practice Lab does not require one.
  • You must give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us if you think your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Your account is for you alone. You may not share your login or the content you have access to.
  • This site is intended for adults. You must be 16 or over to create an account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

3. Using the website

You may use the site for your own learning. You agree not to:

  • Copy, resell, or redistribute course materials, lesson content, or certification content without our written permission
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the site, other users' accounts, or its underlying code
  • Share quiz answers, or use the site to submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
  • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content from the site

4. Lessons and courses

Lessons and courses are sold as separate items, each with the price shown on its page at the time you buy. A course is a complete package; buying a lesson does not buy the course it may belong to. Descriptions are there to help you choose, and we may update content, structure or format over time to keep it current with industry practice.

Access and renewals. Paid lessons and courses may come with an access period, and some accounts may be offered optional automatic renewal. The current access period, prices and renewal terms are shown at checkout and in your account, and may change for future purchases. You can manage or cancel a renewal from your account at any time. If access is not renewed, paid content may be paused until you renew; your progress and certificates are kept.

Certificates. Some lessons and courses award a certificate and some do not. Each lesson and course page says which. Where a certificate has a validity period, you may need to retake the lesson or course to stay certified.

5. Payments, promo codes and refunds

  • Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Payments are taken by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or PayPal; we do not see or store your card or PayPal login details.
  • Lessons and courses are digital content, and access is unlocked on your account as soon as payment is confirmed. You will receive a confirmation email.
  • Promo codes may be limited to particular items and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. A code that has been applied to a completed purchase can't be exchanged for cash or applied afterwards.
  • If something is wrong with a purchase, for example you were charged but can't access the item, email support@oeeguru.com and we will review it. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
  • Enquiries for private team training are handled separately, and the price and terms are agreed with you in writing before anything is provided.

6. Quizzes and certificates

  • Lessons and courses end with a quiz or assessment. If you don't pass, there is a short wait before you can try again.
  • Completing a lesson does not on its own earn a certificate. A Lesson Certificate or Course Certificate is issued once you pass the relevant assessment.
  • Certificates and digital badges show that you passed an OEEGURU Academy assessment. They are not an accredited qualification or a licence to practise unless the item itself says so.
  • We may withdraw a certificate that was obtained by cheating or by breaking these terms.

7. Business and team training

Organisations can have a private training area on OEEGURU Academy. If you are invited into one:

  • You join by accepting an invite sent to your email address. The content in that area is visible only to the organisation's members and is not part of the public catalogue.
  • The organisation's owners and managers can see who has been invited and joined, and your progress, quiz results and certificates for that organisation's content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • The organisation, not OEEGURU Academy, decides who is invited and what training is assigned.
  • Organisation content is for use by that organisation's members only and must not be shared outside it.
  • You can leave an organisation, or ask us to remove you, at any time by emailing support@oeeguru.com.

8. Intellectual property

The text, graphics, logos, lesson content, practice exercises, and course materials on this site belong to OEEGURU.COM, its licensors, or (for business content) the organisation it was written for, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. When you buy an item you get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own learning. You may not reproduce, publish, or use it commercially without our prior written consent.

9. The Practice Lab and lessons

The calculators, exercises, and lessons on this site are provided to support your learning and are offered "as is." They are educational tools, not a substitute for professional engineering, quality, or safety judgement in a real workplace. Always follow your employer's procedures and applicable standards when applying anything you learn here on the job.

10. No warranty and limitation of liability

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every figure, example or exercise result will apply to your situation. To the extent permitted by law, OEEGURU.COM will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Third-party services and links

Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal and are subject to their own terms. The footer links to social media platforms, which are third-party sites with their own terms that we do not control.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as courses, certifications or business features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless a different law is required to apply where you live.
